The American Jewish Congress called on the Supreme Court to uphold a lower court’s decision banning a student’s prayer at a Texas high school football game. In a friend-of-the-court brief filed with civil liberties groups, the AJCongress said the prayer is “part of an official school-sponsored event over which the school maintains near total control.”
