The Austrian Jewish community has to lay off 35 workers because of a lack of government funding, its leader says. Community leader Ariel Muzicant made the announcement Tuesday. The community has been fighting with the government for years over assets that were stolen or destroyed by the Nazis during World War II.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
