The author of a bestselling novel about biblical women is among the activists working to build an innovative new mikvah in suburban Boston, according to Boston’s Jewish Advocate. Anita Diamant, author of “The Red Tent” and other Jewish-themed books, is at the forefront of plans to create a ritual bath that will be open to all streams of Judaism, include an educational center and offer programs for those coping with divorce, cancer treatments, miscarriages and other difficulties.
