The Bush administration will send a State Department official to Yasser Arafat’s funeral. William Burns, assistant secretary of state for Near Eastern affairs, will attend the funeral of the Palestinian Authority president, who died early Thursday. Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) and other lawmakers have asked the Bush administration to refuse to send a delegation to the funeral.
