The City Council of Brno recommended that a UNESCO World Heritage Site be returned to the heirs of the Jewish family that built it. The children of Grete and Fritz Tugendhat, who built the Tugendhat Villa in Brno, requested the return of the villa last month as they said the city had not kept its promise to restore the 1930 structure by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe.
