The Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany called on German companies that employed Jewish slave labor during World War II to enter into negotiations to make compensation payments. The Claims Conference said Volkswagen’s announcement last week that it would compensate slave laborers should serve as a precedent for other German firms that benefitted from slave labor.
