The French foreign minister said his country “will never compromise on Israel’s security,” including the Iranian threat.
Bernard Kouchner in an interview with the daily Ha’aretz published Sunday suggested that France is not ruling out a military strike on Iran.
But Kouchner said his country would continue to work to pressure Iran without the use of force.
“We have proposed to our European partners to adopt measures against Iran also within the European Union framework, in order to let Iran understand that it cannot continue with its policy of creating fait accomplis,” he told Ha’aretz.
On Saturday, Kouchner began a tour of Israel and the Palestinian Authority.
