The Israeli and Palestinian Authority leaders agreed to hold a U.S.-mediated summit. The decision was announced Monday after U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice met Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert in Jerusalem. An Olmert aide gave no immediate date for the meeting between Olmert and P.A. President Mahmoud Abbas, which Rice would mediate.
