The Israeli music group Eden took fifth place in this year’s Eurovision song contest for its song “Happy Birthday.” The Swedish entry, sung by Charlotte Nilsson, won first prize at the contest, which was held in Jerusalem. Twenty- three nations participated in the contest, which was broadcast via satellite to an estimated audience of some 100 million viewers.
