The Jewish community of Sydney, Australia, said it would be willing to pay to keep Israel’s consulate open. The offer was made by the head of the Australian Zionist Federation in Israel, Frank Stein, in a letter to Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, Israel Radio reported.
