The leading pro-Israel lobby in the United States applauded the Senate for unanimously passing a bill that singles out Russia for possible sanctions if it supplies Iran with weapons of mass destruction. The Senate vote “clearly demonstrates that Congress understands the serious dangers posed to both Israel and the U.S. by the unchecked flow of technology transfers,” the American Israel Public Affairs Committee said in a statement.
