The National Council of Young Israel is collecting money for unpaid rabbis in Israel. The rabbis haven’t been paid because of budget cuts and deficits at local religious councils, The Associated Press reported. Checks can be made out to the Y.I. Charity Fund and sent to the Chief Rabbinate Appeal, National Council of Young Israel, 3 W. 16th St., New York, NY 10011.
