The New York state assembly urged Swiss banks to ease restitution of Jewish assets looted during the Holocaust. The assembly, the lower house of the state legislature, urged Swiss banks to disclose more details about stolen assets in the wake of criticism by a judge who blamed the banks for slowing processing of a $1.25 billion restitution settlement from 1998.
