The Ocean Parkway Jewish Center will dedicate next week the Ner Tomid (Perpetual Light) in honor of John L. Bernstein, former President of the Hebrew Sheltering and Immigrant Aid Society. This is a very fine, well-deserved tribute to a man who has worked for many years wholeheartedly and indefatigably for many Jewish causes, particularly for the Jewish immigrants. here and abroad. He has done and is still doing truly Jewish and humanitarian work with all his heart and soul, and with a modesty that is really rare.
