The Palestinian Authority announced a ban on unlicensed weapons in the Gaza Strip. Palestinian Authority police were given orders Thursday to round up guns from terrorist factions and, thereafter, to arrest anyone seen in public with an unlicensed weapon, Gaza officials said.
