William Burns left Frankfurt on Tuesday for meetings with Israeli, Palestinian and Egyptian leaders. Burns was in Frankfurt for meetings with representatives of the diplomatic “Quartet” — the United States, United Nations, European Union and Russia — that is guiding Middle East peace efforts.
