The U.N. nuclear watchdog said ridding Israel of atomic weapons was the key to Middle East peace. “This is not really sustainable, that you have Israel sitting with nuclear weapons capability there while everyone else is part of the non-proliferation regime,” Mohamed ElBaradei, chief of the International Atomic Energy Agency, told the Sydney Morning Herald on Monday. “It is a very emotional issue in the Middle East.”
