The United Jewish Communities praised Congress for rebuffing efforts to slash Medicaid and Medicare funding. Early Saturday morning, the U.S. Senate passed tax relief legislation already approved by the U.S. House of Representatives that preserves Medicaid reimbursements for long-term care facilities; it also provided more flexible caps on Medicare-funded physical therapy.
