The United States is concerned at the lack of coordination between Israel and the Palestinians before Israel’s withdrawal this summer from the Gaza Strip. Spokesmen for the White House and State Department made a point Wednesday of encouraging the sides to coordinate, which they have not done, although the pullout is to begin in less than four months.
