The United States “must judge the Iranian regime by its conduct toward” the 13 Jews facing trial later this month on accusations of spying for Israel and the United States, according to Republican presidential contender George W. Bush. In a letter to the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, Bush also said the United States should pressure Iran to grant the 13 a fair and open trial.
