The World Confederation of General Zionists will henceforth be known as the World Confederation of United Zionists. The change in name was decided upon at a meeting of the world executive of the Confederation which took place recently in Jerusalem. Ezra Shapiro, president of the Confederation, said the change in name was occasioned by the Confederation’s desire not to be confused with the World Union of General Zionists, which in Israel is affiliated to the Liberal Party in Likud.
