The World Jewish Congress threatened to oppose Deutsche Bank’s planned $30 billion buyout of Dresdner Bank if Germany does not settle a battle over whether German insurers will have to settle the claims of Holocaust victims. Both banks are part of a $5.2 billion fund Germany created late last year to pay Holocaust-era slave laborers.
