“All the news concerning Jews” is faithfully and promptly reported in the Jewish Daily Bulletin — the only Jewish daily newspaper printed in English.

Chief Rabbi J. H. Hertz preached in the Great Synagogue today in memory of Dr. Theodor Herzl, father of modern political Zionism, the thirtieth anniversary of whose death is being celebrated tonight and tomorrow.

With Jewish emancipation being attacked on many fronts and with anti-Semitism rampant throughout the world, Jews realize today as never before, Rabbi Hertz pointed out, that Dr. Herzl, whose critics branded him as a dreamer in his hopes and prophecies regarding the future of Palestine, as the only truly wakeful Jew of his time. His predictions are being realized more and more, said Rabbi Hertz, and harassed Jews from many countries are finding sanctuary in the Holy Land.
