There is movement in negotiations to open the border between the Gaza Strip and Egypt. Reuters quoted Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas as saying it was a matter of putting the “final touches” on reopening Rafah. Israeli officials were not as definitive, Reuters said, but agreed there was “momentum” on the deal.
