The New York Herald-Tribune today reports from Paris that a French investigation commission has published a report stating that 20,000 persons, most of them Jews, were tortured to death at the Struthof camp in Alsase, in the course of “experiments” by German scientists who used the internees as guinea pigs for tests of poison gas and anti-plague and leprosy vaccines.
