— Three members of an anti-Nazi Protestant group that opposed the Hitler regime have published an open letter in Mainz warning of the resurgence of neo-Nazism in West Germany and abroad. The letter noted that during 1980 a wave of neo-Nazi activity in several European countries, including Germany, resulted in the deaths of more than 100 persons. They urged the religious community to take immediate action to alert the populace to the “creeping danger” of Nazism.
