Three Israeli Arabs, a young night club dancer and two young men, were arraigned before a Haifa magistrate this week-end on charges of espionage for Arab countries. The magistrate remanded them for trial, but did not set a date.

The defendants are Naifa Samia Akaia, 21, who performed with an Arab folk dance group in a Jaffa night club; Ahmad Shaadi, and Daoud Amouri. The dancer was charged specifically with twice crossing the Israel-Jordanian border to meet with Syrian and Jordanian military personnel.
