See Original Daily Bulletin From This Date

A German Nazi will testify here that he was a member of a band which, under the late Ernst Roehm’s direction, set fire to the Reichstag so that the Communists might be blamed for it. The Nazi, Ernst Kruse, Storm Trooper No. 134,522, will be a witness before the American Inquiry Commission when it reports its hearings early next month, Arthur Garfield Hays announced.

More than forty witnesses have been subpoenaed to testify before the Congressional Committee investigating un-American activities, which will hold executive hearings at the Bar Association Building, 55 West Fourty-fourth street, September 12, 13 and 14.
