April 16, 1929
See Original Daily Bulletin From This Date

On Saturday morning several Arabs came to the Wailing Wall and began to remove the various objects which are generally used by the worshippers. The worshippers tried to prevent them and there was some scuffling. The police who were on the spot were unable to restore order.

The case was brought to the attention of the Deputy Commissioner, who sent the District Officer to the Wailing Wall to prevent any infraction of the status quo. The articles have been returned.
