Turkey denied last night that Ankara was making a “secret anti-Arab deal” with Israel. Reports of a so-called deal were launched in the Arab states. The semi-official Anatolian News Agency carried the following statement:
“It is learned that some unfounded, ridiculous reports are circulating in brotherly Arab countries that Turkey, with the United States and Britain, has concluded a secret agreement with Israel against the Arab countries. This is unfounded propaganda which is a new manifestation of the international Communist provocation and is designed to undermine relations between Turkey and the West with the Arab countries.”
