A two-day national conference of the United Palestine Appeal will open here tomorrow to consider the financial role which American Jewry must play in carrying out the UNSCOP recommendation that 150,000 displaced Jews be permitted to immigrate to Palestine.

More than 1,500 Jewish leaders from all parts of the country have arrived here to attend the conference. The principal speakers at the gathering will be General Joseph T. McNarney, newly appointed chief of the U.S. Air Material Command; Henry Horgenthau Jr., general chairman of the United Jewish Appeal; Dr. Abba Hillel Silver, chairman of the American Zionist Emergency Council; Robert R. Nathan, the noted economist; Dr. Israel Goldstein, national UPA chariman; Emanuel Neumann, president of the Zionist Organization of America; Judge Morris Rothenberg, president of the Jewish National Fund; Rabbi Max Kirshblum, executive vice-president of the Mizrachi Organization of America and Chaim Greenberg, member of the executive committee of the Jewish Agency.
