Two Jews Killed in Afghanistan; Tension Mounting Among Jewish Population in Kabul

Tension is mounting among Jews in Kabul, Afghanistan, as a result of the murder of two Jews in the city, it was reported today in the London Times, in a dispatch from Peshawar, Pakistan.

The report said that the victims were attacked at night and stabbed. Their bodies were recovered later from a well. The Times correspondent adds that Afghan Jews have been pressing their government in recent weeks for permission to emigate to Israel.
