A resolution requesting governments to submit reports on progress achieved in the fields of human rights, and on specific aspects of human, rights or groups of rights, was adopted today by the social committee of the United Nations Social and Economic Council meeting here.
The resolution requests the UN Secretary General to forward to governments suggestions that might serve for the preparation of the reports by governments on a topical basis and to prepare a brief summary of the reports on the same basis for the Commission on Human Rights.
