U.S. and Israeli officials plan to discuss efforts to prevent Russian transfers of nuclear technology to Iran. According to the Israeli daily Ha’aretz, an American delegation will visit Israel next week for the talks. The team will be headed by John Bolton, undersecretary of state for arms control and international security affairs, who is viewed as a good friend of Israel in the Bush administration.
