U.S. Secretary of Interior Confers with Israel’s Minister of Development

Stewart Udall, United States Secretary of the Interior, today accepted an invitation from Israel Minister of Development Mordechai Bentov to go to Israel in the spring of 1962 to attend the scheduled opening of a desalination plant now being built at Eilat.

Mr. Udall told Mr. Bentov he was highly impressed with reports he had received about the new Alexander Zarchin desalination process now being developed by the Israel Government in cooperation with an American firm, the Fairbanks-Whitney Corporation.
