This resolution warned that the continuance of democracy here and in Europe may depend on the outcome of the present conflict
Other resolutions urged promotion of American social welfare legislation, adequate American rearmament to meet any threat to this country’s peace and independence, closer understanding between all countries of the Western Hemisphere, and the rescue of children of all nationalities from the war zone by United States “mercy ships.”
