Emma Shaver, well-known American lyric soprano who specializes in Yiddish and Hebrew folk songs as well as in Israeli melodies, has been invited by the Government of Poland to stage a series of recitals in Poland, it was announced here today.
The invitation was extended by the Polish Ministry of Culture. Miss Shaver is scheduled to give her recitals in Warsaw, Lodz and other large cities in Poland. She is leaving this week, with her husband, Moshe Leib Shaver, first for Israel, then for Poland.
