The campaign for the United Palestine Appeal for the region of Western Massachusetts opened here with a mass meeting which was addressed by Dr. Stephen S. Wise, National Chairman of the Appeal.

The following communities were represented: Holyoke, led by I. Kaplinsky, M. Stein, B. Evartz and B. Wolman; Pittsfield, where the Appeal is led by K. Halperin and B. Lightman; Westfield represented by Sam Simkowitz; North Adams represented by Louis Solomon and Samuel Richton; Northampton where the leading workers are Louis M. Cohen, Lewis Berger and Harry Astmann; Ware and Palmer represented by Louis Feinberg and Samuel Kaplan; and Greenfield where I. Michaelman and A. N. Shor are the principal workers.

The Western Massachusetts region is being led Nathan E. Goldstein of Springfield as Chairman while the officers of the Springfield Committee are the following: Honorary Chairman, Rabbi Samuel Price, Rabbi A. Gorelich and Nathan E. Goldstein; Chairman, Harry M. Ehrlich; Vice-Chairmen, Herman Isenberg, Mrs. Abraham Cheiffetz, Morris Alpert, Ephraim Granstein, Mrs. Louis Cantor and Louis Feinberg; Treasurer, J. D. Kingsberg; Secretary, Nison Riskin; Campaign Director, Maurice Firth.
