A protest against the action of the Hakoah Soccer Team of Vienna for arranging a game in this city on Saturday, Apr. 23 was voiced at the meeting of the Philadelphia Branch of the United Synagogue held at the Young Men’s and Young Women’s Hebrew Association. The protest was in the form of a resolution characterizing as decidely bad taste and contrary to all Jewish tradition for a group that wishes to be identified as a distinctly Jewish unit, to schedule sporting events on the Sabbath.
