In a demonstration of friendship between Uruguay and Israel, the Uruguay Government has named a public school in honor of the Jewish State.
At an impressive ceremony here attended by representatives of the Uruguayan Ministry of Education and of the Israel Government, the school was given the name “State of Israel.” During the ceremony, the flags of both nations were raised over the school building and schoolchildren sang the national hymns of both countries and danced distinctive Israeli and Uruguayan dances.
