The scathing sermon delivered yesterday by Ildefonso Cardinal Schuster, Archbishop of Milan, in condemnation of Italy’s anti-Semitic policy was prominently published without comment tonight by the Osservatore Romano, official Vatican organ. Cardinal Schuster warned Premier Mussolini that Germany might turn on him once it has rid itself of the Jews. The Prelate condemned “this new nordic heresy” as “an international danger not less grave than Bolshevism itself.”
