An agreement has been concluded between the “Hakoah” sports club here and the Maccabee athletic association of Israel for the Vienna club’s participation in the forthcoming Maccabee Games, which will be held in Israel this year, David Scharf, Maccabee representative now touring Europe, reported today.
Jewish athletic groups in Italy have already been invited to participate in the Maccabiad. Mr. Scharf will visit Salsburg, Austria, as well as Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and Switzerland to arrange for the participation of Jewish sports clubs from those countries in the world athletic competition.
