A motion introduced by the Zionist parties, who in the last elections in December obtained a majority on the Board of the Vienna Jewish Community, to give universal franchise in future Jewish community elections to both men and women, was carried by a big majority at a plenary meeting of the Community Board.
The motion has been transferred to the Statutes Commission, to carry it into effect.
