Socialist students at the University of Vienna have lodged a strong protest against the proposed reinstatement at the University of a former Nazi professor who was one of the theoreticians of the Nazi movement in Austria.
The professor, Dr. Heins Kindermann, was one of the small group of under ground Nazis who helped bring Hitler to Austria and in his book “Literature and Nationality” laid down the principles of Nazi literary criticism. During the period of the Anschluss Dr. Kindermann was known as a leading anti-Semite.
