An early Bronze Age wall, probably the most magnificent yet found in Palestine, has been uncovered on the site of the ancient city of Jericho, where explorations are going on. About fifty meters of the wall, which is twenty feet high, have been cleared. It apparently was part of a city dating back to 2000 B.C. Before the war, German archaeologists began excavating these ruins near Elisha’s Fountain, a favorite tourist site.
