A check for $1,000,000 for scientific research in Palestine will be presented to Dr. Weizmann at a dinner in the Waldorf-Astoria on Nov. 27, the eve of his 71st birthday, it was announced here today.
The announcement, which was made by the American committee for the Weizmann Institute of Science, which is to be established in Rehovoth, said that close to 2,000 representatives of organizations and groups which have contributed towards the program of the projected institute will attend. The committee hopes to raise $3,000,000.
