William Natanson, noted Yiddish writer and philosopher, died here after a lengthy illness at the age of 80. Born in Russia, Mr. Natanson came to the United States when he was 20 years of age and after studying medicine, he turned to serious writing on philosophical subjects.
His major work was a volume entitled “Culture and Civilization” published in 1923. Among his other works were “Spinoza and Bergson–A Parallel” and translations of the Works of Bergson.
