William “Velvl” Rosenblum, a longtime supporter of Yiddish and Jewish life, died April 1 in suburban Washington at age 104. Born in 1900 in Brezin, Poland, Rosenblum led a chapter of Hashomer Hatzair, a socialist Zionist youth organization.
