The Winnipeg City Council has called on the Mayer to issue a proclamation in connection with the 20th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto uprising. The action was taken in a resolution adopted unanimously by the City Councilmen. The resolution cited the fact that the anniversary “will be commemorated in many lands and in many cities in Canada.”
