The establishment of a world academic union for Jewish studies was agreed upon today prior to the closing of the first world congress (##) Jewish studies convoked under the sponsorship of the Hebrew University and at(##)nded by Jewish scientists and educators from Palestine and many other countries.
The delegates also decided to hold triennial conventions of the union. During (##)e various sessions the delegates heard over 200 papers on many historical and (##)ientific subjects in the field of Jewish studies.
